MISS MATTINGLY, 57, DIES AT MARIAN MANOR
Miss Mary Lucille Mattingly, 57, of St. Francis, died early last Wednesday at Marian Manor, where she had been under treatment 38 days for a heart ailment. She was under treatment at Mary Immaculate Hospital before entering the nursing home. She was a lifelong Marion countian, daughter of the late John Artie and Mary Mattie Mattingly. Surviving are three brothers, Spencer and Roberto Mattingly, both of St. Francis, and J. A. Mattingly, Jr., of New Hope; two sisters, Mrs. Thelma Miles, St. Francis, and Mrs. Helen Rucker, Loretto, and two half-sisters, Mrs. Hazel Roberts and Mrs. Waniece Peake, both of St. Francis. The body was at Mattingly Funeral Home, Loretto. Funeral services with Solemn Requiem High Mass, were conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis of Assisi Church at St. Francis, by the pastor, Rev. William A. Spalding, assisted by the Rev. George Oyler and the Rev. Samuel Lee. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Jim and Bob Miles, Junior Rucker, Tom and Leon Mattingly.
