SIMPSONVILLE, S.C. — Julia Hensley, 81 of Simpsonville, S.C., formerly of Switzer, went to be with the Lord Thursday, February 4, 2010.

Born June 23, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Boyd and Virginia Lawson Richardson. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Richard Hensley, and one sister.

Julia was a member of the Omar Community Church.

Those left to cherish her memory include three children, Frances Hatcher of Atlanta, Ga., Nancy (Chris) Jackson of Simpsonville, and Stephen Hensley of Panama City Beach, Fla.; "Grammer" will be sadly missed by her four grandchildren, Carrie (Jason) Ybarra of El Paso, Texas, Quincy (Genia) Hatcher of Laurenceville, Ga., Aaron (Jen) Hatcher of Marietta, Ga., and Joshua (Amber) Jackson of Simpsonville; three great-grandchildren, Tyler and Brandon Rios and Kaelon Hatcher, and two special nieces, Brenda Fay Gish and Linda Kay Kurtz, both of Henderson, Ky.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 10, at the Collins Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Allen Clark and Rev. C.D. Wolford officiating. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby. Pallbearers will be Quincy Hatcher, Tyler Rios, Brandon Rios, Aaron Hatcher, Kaelon Hatcher and Joshua Jackson.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
