She came with her parents to Rush Co, Ind in 1825, settling near New Salem, two years later moved to Franklin Co., Ind, her father laid out the town of Andersonville, her mother died when she was 13 years old. In 1835 she moved to Clarksburg to live with her brother Thomas. She married Robert Braden on Dec.18,1838. He died Oct.10,1887. They had six children, two died in infancy, Joseph H. of Rossville, Ill, Jeremy A., Luther D. and Mrs T.A. Shirk still survive. She was laid to rest in South Park Cemetery...
