Helen D. Allen, age 90 of Demorest, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at a local nursing facility.
Mrs. Allen lived a life well spent and has been received in Heaven with the welcome plaudit, "Well done my good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of the Lord."
She was born in Habersham County on July 03, 1921 to the late Jim and Sallie Erwin Dixon. On June 30, 1945 she married Arvel "Bud" Allen and they lived happily together for 57 years.
There were two children born to them. One of their greatest joys was the birth of their grandson. Their first great grandchild, was born to on May 24, 2011.
