Brackenridge
Margaret L. Acre, 94, of Brackenridge, died Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010, in Alle-Kiski Medical Center, Harrison Township.
She was born Feb. 3, 1916, in Buffalo Township, Butler County, and lived in Brackenridge for 71 years.
She was a homemaker and a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Harrison Township. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and Allegheny Valley Library and enjoyed puzzle books.
She is survived by four sons, Richard Dale Acre, of San Antonio, Texas, Kenneth Wayne (Linda) Acre, of Brackenridge, Edward Glenn (Hilde) Acre, of Lincoln Park, N.J., and David Leroy Acre, of Ansonia, Conn.; daughter, Phyllis Jean Acre, of Newark, Del.; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Sadie (Penrose) Frain; husband, Arthur C. Acre, March 11, 1984; son, Ralph Acre, May 5, 2005; three sisters, Helen Chillingworth, Wilovene Schall and Janette Allenberg; and two brothers, Floyd and Wilbert Frain.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the KRYNICKI FUNERAL HOME, Natrona Heights, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Barbara Ravenstahl, her pastor.
Burial in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
