Lena was the first of Edward and Bertha Weber's children to be born in the United States, coming a little over a year after the family immigrated from Germany in 1878. In 1911, she married William M. Heilman. They had three children, William, George and Aline. The elder William was a veteran shoe salesman in Evansville, Ind., working 60 years for G.W. Geissler and Strouse Bros. He died in 1947 and she followed in 1949. They are buried together at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Lena Heilman, 69, died at 5:35 p.m. yesterday at her residence, 917 West Indiana street.

She is survived by two sons, William E. and George H., both of Evansville; one daughter, Mrs. Aline Stites; three sisters, Mrs. Clara Merle, Mrs. Anna Wheeler, and Mrs. Thomas Giles; three grandchildren.

She was a member of St. John's Evangelical and Reformed church, St. John's home department and the True Blue club.

The body is at the Ziemer funeral home.
