Surrounded by his wife and children and oldest grandson, Howard died peacefully on Sept. 26, 2001 at Stevens Hospital in Everett, WA, at the age of 80.
Howie was born March 2, 1921 in Paulsboro, NJ. Howie and Jeannie moved to Lynwood, WA in 1970, where he finished his work career and raised his family and spent many happy days camping, fishing and touring the Washington countryside. In his retirement years he did woodworking and painting.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jeannie of Lynwood; daughter, Barbara Jean Boyd and daughter-in-law, Caroline Beckwith, both of Kirkland; son John (Kim) of Cypress, Calif.; son, Stephen (Loreen) of Edmonds, WA; sister, Florence Welles of Honesdale, PA; and brother, Russell Beckwith of North Syracuse, NY. Son Richard Howard Beckwith preceded him in death.
He leaves behind a legacy of family, sharing and caring.
