Sylvia Zeinstra was born to Peter and Winnie Vander Woude Zeinstra on October 2, 1930 in Pipestone County near Holland, Minnesota. She grew to womanhood in the area and on February 4, 1949 was united in marriage to Jake Overgaauw at Holland, Minnesota. They settled on a farm near Holland, Minnesota where she spent the remainder of her life. She was a member of the Christian Reformed Chruch of Holland, Minnesota.
Besides her many friends she is lovingly remembered by her husband, Jake, one daughter Sandra Jean, Mrs. Michael Carlson of Kasson, Minnesota, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter (Winnie) Zeinstra of Holland, Minnesota, four brothers, Felix and Bernard of Holland, Minnesota, Floyd and Harvey of Pipestone, Minnesota, tree sisters, Alvera, Mrs. Donald Klingbile, Claretta, Mrs. Bert Baartman and Pearl, Mrs. Keith Pritchett all of Pipestone, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by one brother (Melvin) who died in infancy.
