MRS. GEORGE M. SHULL
Following a four-day illness with bronchial pneumonia, Mrs. George M. Shull, one of the oldest residents of the village, passed away at the family residence in State street at 2:30 o'clock Thursday morning. Mrs. Shull's maiden name was Garlinghouse, and she was born February 25, 1846, in the town of Richmond, her parents being one of the old families of Ontario county. She was a pupil of Mrs. Mary Jane Holmes, the famous authoress, when she taught school at Allen's Hill. When 20 years old she went west and taught school for seven years at Pekin, Ill.
She was married to Frederick P. Mills of Mount Morris, son of Hiram P. Mills of this town, in February, 1872, and of the two children born of that union one survives, Frederick P. Mills of this village.
Her second marriage took place at St. John's Church, of which she was a member, March 12, 1891, to George M. Shull of this village.
