CARMON HILL
Funeral services were held for Carmon Hill at the Pewitt Chapel in Ellington, Mo., on Sept. 6, 1976, with Rev. Dwight Barton officiating.
Interment was in the Polk Cemetery under the direction of Pewitt Service.
Carmon M. Hill, son of the late Lucy Jane Williams Hill and James William Hill, was born in Reynolds County on Jan. 11, 1916 and departed this life at his home in St. Louis on Sept. 4, 1976. He was sixty years, seven months and twenty-three days of age.
He was united in marriage to Mildren Ellerman on May 12, 1936, at Eminence, Mo. Two sons were born to this union, Carmon Ray and Jerry Dean.
Those surviving are his wife Mildred; two sons; four grandchildren, Ron, Melody, Robin and Tamera; a sister Lillie Snail (Smail); a foster-sister, Helen Rockwell; three brothers, Jack, Robert L. and Bill; nieces; nephews and other dear relatives and friends.
A brother James Carmel Hill and a sister, Nell Hays preceded him in death.
Mr. Hill was a member and Past Master of the Barnesville Lodge 353 at Ellington, Mo., and had served 9 years as Honorary Tiller of Aurora Lodge #267 in St. Louis. He was a member of the Order of the Eastern Start at Ellington, Mo. He was a member of the Hope Assembly of God Church in St. Louis.
