Funeral services were held Fri., Jan. 2 at Pewitt Chapel for William Henry Hill, son of James W. and Cora "Hull" Hill. He was born at Elvins, 4-26-1890 and passed away at Ellington, 12-20-1986 at the age of 96 years.
On 11-14-1913 he was united in marriage to Leona Ruth Ferguson. To this union seven children were born, Leo (deceased), Maggie (deceased), Lindell of Kalamazoo, Mich., Cleo of Brandy Station, Va.; James of Ellington, Clinton (deceased) and Erma Reese of St. Louis.
He was a member of the Lone Cedar United Baptist Church at the time of his passing.
Surviving are four children, 16 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, one son-in-law, four daughters-in-law, one sister, Lillie Smail.
Preceding him in death were his wife, three children, step mother, Lucy Jane Hill, one sister, Nellie Hayes, four brothers, Jack, Robert, James, and Martell Hill.
He spent most of his life in Reynolds County and is survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
