Christine Graham, 74, of Fitzgerald, died Monday, December 7, 2009 at her residence.

Funeral services will be 2 PM Wednesday, December 9 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronny Griner and Rev. Roy Conner officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Tuesday evening at the funeral home.

Mrs. Graham was born October 4, 1935 in Ben Hill County to the late Jessie C. and Mary Reeves Shepherd. She was a 1954 graduate of Fitzgerald High School. Mrs. Graham was a retired bookkeeper. She was a member and church pianist at Mt. Zion Baptist Church and former pianist at Westside Baptist Church. Mrs. Graham was a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts and a gospel singer with the Christianaires. She was a member of the Air Force Sergeants Auxiliary # 451 in Albany, the VFW 5250 Auxiliary and the AARP.

Mrs. Graham is survived by her husband of 53 years, Earl Graham of Fitzgerald, daughter and son-in-law, Kathy Graham Wynn and John of Snellville; sisters, Ruth Dean of Fitzgerald, and Thelma Barrentine of Enigma; and a sister-in-law, Pearl Shepherd as well as several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a son: Billy Graham; three sisters: Doris Henderson, Elizabeth Shepherd, and Grace Newton and three brothers: James Shepherd, Paul Shepherd and Jesse Shepherd.
