Forrest 'Jim' Back, 79, entered into rest on February 24, 2010, at York Hospital. He was the husband of Gloria F. (Bonneville) Mundis Back. They were married 30 years.

He was born August 28, 1931, in Letcher County, Ky., he son of the late William J. and Belvia Back.

He was a retired U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He later worked for the former WNOW as an engineer for 10 years. Mr. Back was a member of St. Patrick Church.

In addition to his wife, Jim is also survived by four children Deborah Frock, Darlene Elwell, Wayne Back and Robert Back; eight step children, Michael Mundis, Mary Anne Mundis, Elizabeth Walker, James Mundis, Patricia Rodgers, Carol Welsh, Catherine Nye, and Robert Mundis; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and six brothers, Buford Back, Burniss Back, Rev. W. Don Back, Milton Back, Curtis Back, and Darrell Back.

Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery.
