Mrs. Bridget Flanagan Reidy, age 76, died of a heart attack at 4 a.m. at the Rock Hill neighborhood home of her daughter, Mrs. George (Mary) Thompson. She had been in failing health for some time. She was born near Castlerea, Co. Roscommon, Ireland, and came to Ft. Riley at age 19. She married James Reidy and they resided on a farm on McDowell Creek in Geary County until his death four years ago. Mrs. Reidy has made her home in Manhattan, with her daughter Mrs. Thompson, since that time. Also surviving is her daughter, Mrs. John (Catherine)Gazda of Chicago, a son, James Reidy of Junction City, sisters Winifred McCarthy and Mrs. Nicholas (Ellen) Conway, both of St. Louis, MO, and one sister in Ireland, Elizabeth Regan*. Services will be held at St. Francis Xavier's in Junction City on Friday, Rec. James Bradley officiating, and interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. (1-4-1934 unknown paper)
