David Snodgrass was the son of John Snodgrass and Jane Long. He married Elizabeth Walker on 15 October 1827 in Scottsboro, Jackson Co., AL. They had twelve children; William W. "Bill" Snodgrass, John Snodgrass, Mary J. Snodgrass, Thomas J. "Tom" Snodgrass, George Washington Snodgrass, E. Ann SNodgrass, Sarah Caroline Snodgrass, Nancy C. Snodgrass, Frances M. Snodgrass, David "Dave" Snodgrass, Carrick Snodgrass, and A. Donna Snodgrass.
The first 10 children were born in Jackson Co., AL and the last two were born in Titus Co., TX. David and his family relocated from Alabama to Titus County, Texas in about 1849.

He was a farmer and at one time had large land holdings in the area.

Unmarked, This bricked rectangle enclosure measures 10 feet across and 9 feet long. It is divided in half and is reported to be the grave of David and Elizabeth Snodgrass

Bricks have been moved into piles and needs to be placed back where they were
