LILLY W. TOOKE

Lilly Wolstenholme Tooke, 78, died Friday, Oct. 8, 1976 at Utah Valley Hospital of causes incident to age.

She was born Sept. 17, 1898 in Salt Lake City to William Jesse and Lily Clayton Wolstenholme. She married Stratton William Tooke on June 28, 1924 in Evanston, Wyo., and he died Aug. 9, 1946

Mrs. Tooke was educated in Salt Lake City schools and attended LDS Business College. Following her marriage, they lived in Salt Lake City. As a young girl, she was appointed Princess of Utah in 1921 to represent Utah at the Cotton Palace Exposition in Waco, Tex.

Mrs. Tooke was a granddaughter of William Clayton, author of "Come, Come Ye Saints."

A member of the LDS Church, she was also a member of American Legion Auxiliary, Service Star Legion, Ladies of Elks and Sunflower Camp of the DUP.

Survivors include two sons, William H. Tooke and Richard Lee Tooke, both of Orem; nine grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
