Andrew Walsh, 92, of Fitzgerald, died Wednesday at Pierce County Nursing Home in Blackshear, Georgia and was born in Coffee County to the late Davis and Fannie Smith Walsh. He was a farmer who lived in Fitzgerald all of his life. Mr. Walsh drove a school bus for the Ben Hill County Board of Education for 40 years and was former employee of B.B. Rodgers. He was a member and a Deacon at Old Valley Grove Primitive Baptist Church and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Mr. Walsh is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: Lewis E. & Bette Walsh; 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; sisters: Ethel Barrett and Ruby DuVall.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Annis Hester Walsh, and daughter, Priscilla Walsh Davis.
Interment in Evergreen Cemetery.
