Julee Ruth Novak, age 81, of Eveleth died Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at St Mary's Medical Center in Duluth.
She was born on April 15, 1927 in Hibbing MN, to Joseph and Josephine Chupeck Zezel.
Julee was a 1945 graduate of Hibbing High School. She was united in marriage to Premus J Novak on June 26, 1948 in Hibbing at Blessed Sacrament Church. Julee worked for the former National Tea and Eveleth IGA as a cashier and was also a homemaker. She was a member of the Auxiliary to VFW Post #1172 and Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court St Margaret #1888. Julee volunteered at Eveleth Health Services Park and served as an election judge for many years. She was a gifted crafter, notably for her doll making. Julee liked flowers and especially loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Premus; daughters, Judith James Koski of Eveleth, MN, Jolene "Joey" Michael Novak- Haverkamp of Mendota Heights MN; son, Jeffrey "Duff" LuAnn Novak of North Oaks MN; grandchildren, Reagan Kevin Hulbert, Sarah Haverkamp, Marc Haverkamp, Matthew, Jason, and Brian Novak; expected great granddaughters; sisters, Eva Bolin of Edina MN, Florence Jim Juricich of Hibbing MN, Vera Albert Kne of Chisholm MN, Delores LeRoy Barrett of Hibbing, Jeanette Walsh of Bloomington MN; brother, Kenneth Sharon Zezel of Hibbing MN; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, two sisters and her parents.
