She was married to William Howard Wilhite in 1947. He preceded her in death in 1996. Her beloved and eldest daughter, Elaine Theobalt, also preceded her in death in 2009. She is survived by her son, Wilbur Wilhite, and his wife, Janice; Elaine's husband Ricky; a daughter, Faye Salerno, and her husband Nick; and a daughter, Hedda Franklin, and her husband Gary. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and two more great-grandchildren on the way. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Duncanville, TX.
