"This officer has participated in eleven sorties against targets in the Ruhr, also in attacks against Berlin, Stettin, Pilsen, Danzig and Spezia.
He has displayed outstanding ability as navigator and has contributed materially to the successes achieved and to the safe return of the aircraft."
