FUNERAL IN THIS COUNTY
R. Lee Trimble, of Swoope, has received information that the body of his son, Howard Lee Trimble, 35, drowned in South Carolina Thursday, was found Saturday. It will be brought to Augusta county for burial.
Details of the tragedy are not known by relatives here. In recent weeks Mr. Trimble had had considerable difficulty with high water on his farm. Several times he had to resort to a boat to get from his house to the road and to the house of neighbors. To protect his stock he was forced to remain on the place. It is believed that he was probably using the boat Thursday morning when he was drowned.
Mr. Trimble had been farming in South Carolina for two years. First he was manager of the farm operated in connection with the Lowman Lutheran home, at White Rock, about 18 miles from Columbia. Mr. Hottinger is manager of this home.
About four months ago Mr. Trimble purchased a farm, which he had since operated. Two months ago he married Miss Anna Jackson, daughter of George Jackson, of Mt. Sidney, who had been a matron at the Lutheran home at White Rock.
Mrs. Trimble was visiting her father when news came of her husband's death, having reached Augusta county only the past Wednesday. She is now at the Trimble home at Swoope.
The funeral will be held Monday morning at 11 o'clock from Hebron Presbyterian church. Pallbearers will be Wallace Trimble, Harry Clemmer, Charles Wright, Marion Brown, Carl Clemmer, Andrew Wilson. Mr. Trimble was a member of Hebron church.
