She was born Oct. 25, 1927, in Pekin, Ill., the daughter of C. Nelson "Dutch" and Cora M. (Heyl) Worner. She married Raymond C. VanOrman on Nov. 24, 1946, in Forest City, and he died March 14, 1973.
Mrs. VanOrman was a charter member of Forest City Community Church, a homemaker, had a ceramic shop and taught ceramics in her home.
She is survived by one daughter, Diana (Kenneth) Emme of Forest City; and four grandchildren, Todd (Annie) Emme of Waverly, Ill., Brian Emme of Forest City, Beth (Jason) Lyons of Peoria and Patia (Eric) Havican of Willow Springs, Ill. Also surviving are three great-grandchildren, Alexis Emme, Emme Havican and Ethan Havican; one sister, Donna Baechler of Pekin, Ill.; and one brother, Robert (ZoeRene) Worner of Forest City; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Anita.
Funeral services will he held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at Forest City Community Church, conduced by Pastor Tom Guengerich, with burial to follow in Meadow Lawn Cemetery in Manito. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday at her church.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Havana Health Care Resident Activity Fund, Mason District Hospital or Forest City Community Church.
