Mr. Houston A. Butler, 92, a resident of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Wayne General Hospital in Waynesboro. He was born on Thursday, March 5, 1925 in Wayne County to B. W. and Ida Cochran Butler. Mr. Butler served in the United States Army and was a Veteran of World War II. He was retired as a Truck Driver. Mr. Butler is preceded in death by his wife, Pansy Butler; mother, Ida C. Butler; father, B. W. Butler; 4 brothers; 1 sister; grandson, Mark Olson. He is survived by his son, Al Butler (Dianne) of Lawrenceville, GA; daughter, Regina Olson (Andy) of Waynesboro, MS; 5 grandchildren, Traci LaVernway (Mike) of Lawrenceville, GA, Lisa Cowan (Shannon) of Loganville, GA, Sonny Butler of Stone Mountain, GA, Todd Olson (Tammy) of Waynesboro, MS Paul Olson of Woodland Park, CO; 8 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren. Visitation for Mr. Butler will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Friday, October 20, 2017 in the Parlor of Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS 39367. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, October 20, 2017 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro with Dr. Andy Olson and Rev. James Murphy officiating. Interment will be in White House Cemetery in Waynesboro.
