LAUREL — Mrs. H.M. (Janie) Phillips

Mrs H.M. (Janie) Phillips, 89, of Laurel, died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010, at South Central Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, at the Chapel of Memory Chapel. Rod Lowery will officiate. Burial will be in Lake Park Hills Cemetery.
She was a faithful member of Jehovah's Witnesses Laurel South Congregation. She loved to cook for family and friends and she was an avid gardener. She enjoyed sewing and walking and enjoyed sharing what she learned from the Bible with others.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Houston Phillips; parents, Bernie and Ida Butler; and four brothers, Ray, Roy, Hubert and J.C. Butler.
Survivors include three daughters, Gail Goe, Wanda Clark and Sheila Robinson and her husband Mickey, all of Laurel; brother, Houston A. Butler of Waynesboro; four grandchildren, Don Speir Jr. of St. Augustine, Fla., Darryl Speir, Joshua Goe and Jonathan Clark, all of Laurel; and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Rigoberto Chogala, Guillermo Aguirre, Mickey Robinson, Beau Patterson, Cleve Walker and Gabriel Patten.
Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until service time Tuesday at Memory Chapel, which is in charge of the arrangements.
