Susannah married Jacob Garver in Lancaster Co., PA.

OBITUARY—Mrs. Susannah Garver, wife of Jacob Garver, died near Humboldt, Allen Co., Kan., March 27th, 1879, aged 76 years, 5 months and 6 days. She was a member of the church for about 50 years, in which she lived a truly christian life till death, which found her ready for the change.

She, with her husband, moved from York County, Pa., to Macon County, Ill., in May 1839, where they resided till the spring of 1871, when they moved to Allen County, Kan., where they resided till her death.

She was the mother of twelve children, nine of whom are still living, six in Illinois, viz: Garver, David H. Garver and Samuel H. Garver, in Whitmore Township, Daniel H. Garver, at Argenta, Macon County, John H. Carver, at Cerro Gordo, Piatt County, and Abraham H. Garver, at Westfield, Clark Co., and three in Kansas-Susan Johnson, Barbara Rogers and Mary Wallace. There are 65 grandchildren, now living 28 great-grand children, and 1 great great grandchild.

On Wednesday, October 1st, 1879, Mrs. Garver's mortal remains were interred in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Whitmore township, Macon County, Ill. A large number of persons witnessed the interment after a short funeral service.
