Joseph L. Hoffmann, 89, died Saturday at Audubon Regional Medical Center. He was a retired employee of O'Connor & Raque and was named Schnitzelburg's No. 1 citizen of 1990. Survivors: his wife, the former Anna Maechele; daughters Anna Chapman and Maryann Young; sons Joseph A., James J., John A. and Jerome L. Hoffmann; sister Emma Soeder, Marie Degener and Theresa Bellner; and a brother, Albert Hoffmann. Funeral; 10 a.m. Wednesday, St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 1020 E. Burnett Ave. Burial: St. Michael Cemetery. Visitation; noon-9 p.m. Tuesday. Memorial gifts; St. Vincent de Paul Society.
