· OBITUARY: "Elizabeth Kimpler was born in Lee county, Illinois, 1863, and died at her home in Belpre, September 26, 1917, aged 53 years, 11 months, and 29 days. When a young girl, she moved with her parents from Illinois to Barton county, Kansas. In 1882, she was married to John Lunz. At the opening of the "strip" in the Indian Territory, she with her husband and family moved there and remained until 1901 moving back to Ellinwood, where they remained until April 1902 coming from there to Belpre. Mrs. Lunz was the mother of nine children, all of them living, and all were present at her bed side at the time of death except Mrs. Nora Einhaus of Wichita, she being present at the funeral, and who with Mrs Chas. Riley, J. E., P. F., Wm., Bert, and Ollie Lunz, Mrs. Frances Hager and Miss Ella Lunz are left to mourn the loss of a devoted mother. The deceased had been ill for the past nine months, but bore her suffering with a patience and fortitude that has characterized her life throughout. The grief stricken children have the sympathy of the entire community in their bereavement. Funeral services were held at St. Bernard's Church, in charge of Rev. Hackenbroich and interment was made in the Catholic cemetery."

· FOOTNOTE: Elizabeth's Death Certificate, wherein her son William was informant, does list her year of birth as 1865, but that record conflicts with sibling Joseph's birth. Her obituary age and her early family enumerations also support the correct year as being 1863. Elizabeth was also born in Lee, DeKalb county, and not Lee county.
· Original burial record is for St. Bernard's Catholic Cemetery, which has been renamed several times since.
