Viola Lindemann – Viola Lindemann, 83, a former Kiel resident, died early today at Calumet Memorial Hospital, Chilton, where she had been a patient the past month.
Prior to hospitalization she resided at the Willowdale Nursing Home, New Holstein for seven years.

The former Viola Sternbeck was born June 19, 1899, in the Town of Schleswig, daughter of Rudolph and Emma Krueger Sternbeck. She attended school at Louis Corners.

She was married to Arthur Lindemann on October 19, 1918, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Town of Liberty. The couple resided in the Town of Liberty for six years before moving to St. Nazianz, where they lived until 1948, when they moved to Kiel. Mr. Lindemann died in 1974.

Mrs. Lindemann was a member of St. Peter United Church of Christ, Kiel.

Survivors include twin daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Gladys) Sievert of Kiel and Mrs. Earl (Alice) Sievert of New Holstein; a son Robert of Kiel; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and a brother, Leslie of Cudahy, California.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel, the Reverend John Baumann, pastor of St. Peter United Church of Christ, officiated. Burial was in the Schleswig Cemetery, Rockville.
