Robert L. Lindemann, 64, of 727 Milwaukee St. Kiel, died Monday morning, Aug 23, 1993 at Calumet Homestead, New Holstein, after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born June 17, 1929 at St. Nazianz, Wis., son of the late Arthur and Viola Stemback Lindemann. He was a 1946 graduate of Kiel High School.
On Feb. 19, 1952, he married Irene Mayer at St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Kiel.
He was employed at Harvey Ehnert & Son in Kiel, for approximately 14 years and then for 13 years at Grasse Brothers Oil Co., as an oil delivery man. He also worked at Kohler Company for two years and for approximately the last eight years for Kieffer Sign Company in Sheboygan, retiring , Feb. 1, 1993 due to ill health.
He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War from 1951-1953.
He was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Kiel.
Survivors include his wife, Irene; three daughters, Sandra (Randy) Neils, Kiel; Cheryl (David) Henning, Kiel; Debbie (Gig) Christianson, Waldo; four grandchildren, Stephanie, and Ryan Neils, Greg and Christopher Henning; two sisters, Gladys Sievert, Kiel and Alice (Earl) Sievert, New Holstein.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, at St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Kiel, with the Rev. Raymond C. Coombs, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Kiel City Cemetery. Friends may call at Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel, from 4-9 p.m., Wednesday and at the church Thursday, from 9 a.m. until the time of services.
A memorial has been established for St. Peter's U.C.C.
