William was born at the Homestead Casheloogary, County Donegal, Ireland.

Don't know when he came to NY but he was married to Isabella "Bella" McCready and they had two children Bessie Gallagher and Neil James Gallagher.

Uncle Willie went back to Ireland for awhile then came back to the US
