Blanche A. Ainsley, 92, went home to be with the Lord March 12, 2004. She was born in Williamston, N.C., to the late John F. and Oda B. Asby. Mrs. Ainsley graduated from Roper High School in North Carolina, Class of 1929. She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church and their Crusader Fellowship Class. Mrs. Ainsley was a beautician for more than 50 years and was co-owner of Carolene Beauty Shop located in downtown Norfolk. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 53 years, Earl Ainsley; three sisters, Sue Hopkins, Beatrice Asby, Marjorie Spruill; and four brothers, Aubrey, Harold, Floyd and Ira Asby.
She is survived by her devoted sister, Marilyn F. "Bowen" Asby of Virginia Beach.
