MR. JAN (JOHN) ANDRON, beloved
husband, father and brother passed away at the Lethbridge Regional Hospital on May 3,2000.
Jan was born on April 18, 1923 in Kaduszki, Poland, where he resided until the coming of the Second World War. In 1943 he was taken by German occupation forces into a labor camp, where he was forced to work until liberated at the end of the war. Following the war, Jan came to Alberta with his mother Anna and his sister Janina and brother Walter in
1949. He initially resided and worked in Iron Springs as a farm laborer before settling in Picture Butte in 1952,
where he began his career as a carpenter and farmer. In 1966 he returned to Poland briefly, where he met his wife Teresa and they were married a year later.
Jan and Teresa remained in Picture Butte until 1996, when they moved to West Lethbridge, where Jan resided until his passing. Jan is dearly missed by his loving wife of 33 years, Teresa, and his sons, Roman of Calgary and Mark of
Lethbridge. He is also survived by his sister Janina Gluszak and her husband Walter, of Lethbridge, and their sons
Roy and George and their families, all of Calgary, as well as his brother Walter Andron and his wife Shirley, of
Picture Butte, and their children Alan, Monica and Dennis, all of Picture Butte. Jan was predeceased by his father,
Jan Andron, in 1948 and by his mother, Anna Andron, in 1985.
Relatives and friends are invited to Vigil Rites (Prayers) at 7:00 P.M. on Friday, May 5, 2000 in MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4 Street' South, Lethbridge. A Funeral
Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 6, 2000 in ST. MARTHA'S ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 355 Columbia Blvd. W., Lethbridge, with Father Dennis McDonald celebrant and Father Jozef Prehupka con-celebrant. Interment will
follow 'in Mountain View Cemetery, Family Plot.
