This little doggy ♥Coco, brought much happiness to my mom over the past 15 years. She loved being on my mom's lap and shoulder. My mom even let Coco drink out of her drinking glass. Her fur kept changing colors over the years. Coco color and then silver and then back to Coco with different shades in between. Coco was brave, fun and full of love. We will all miss her very much and know that she will be waiting for us at the Rainbow Bridge, as well as the other sweet dogs my mom has had over the years. Peppy, Chaz, her Irish setter, who quit eating when my mom went into the Army. Her dog Storm who saved my brother's life. Her Collie dog Lassie.. My first dog as a child. My mom has always been kind to animals and they were very kind to her.

My mom would be so thankful for you all remembering her pooch with all these tokens. They are together ~ my mom and her coco but I can hear her now being overwhelmed with the thought that so many people came to this site. My mom loved Findagrave and feel as if she was here, she would tell you all who visited that she loves you too. Coco would too and would probably be barking at all who entered. Thanks friends.

A Loan From God

God promised at the birth of time,
A special friend to give,
His time on earth is short, he said,
So love him while he lives.

It may be six or seven years,
Or twelve or then sixteen,
But will you, till I call him back,
Take care of him for me?

A wagging tail and cold wet nose,
And silken velvet ears,
A heart as big as all outdoors,
To love you through the years.

His puppy ways will gladden you,
And antics bring a smile,
As guardian or friend he will,
Be loyal all the while.

He'll bring his charms to grace your life,
And though his stay be brief,
When he's gone the memories,
Are solace for your grief.

I cannot promise he will stay,
Since all from earth return,
But lessons only a dog can teach,
I want you each to learn.

Whatever love you give to him,
Returns in triple measure,
Follow his lead and gain a life,
Brim full of simple pleasure.

Enjoy each day as it comes,
Allow your heart to guide,
Be loyal and steadfast in love,
As the dog there by your side.

Now will you give him all your love,
Nor think the labor vain,
Nor hate me when I come to call,
To take him back again?

I fancy each of us would say,
"Dear Lord, thy will be done,
For all the joy this dog shall bring,
The risk of grief we'll run.

"We'll shelter him with tenderness,
We'll love him while we may,
And for the happiness we've known,
Forever grateful stay.

"But shall the angels call for him,
Much sooner than we've planned,
We'll brave the bitter grief that comes,
And try to understand."

Paw prints left by you....

You no longer greet me,
As I walk through the door.
You're not there to make me smile
To make me laugh anymore.
Life seems quiet without you,
You were far more then a pet.
You were a family member, a friend,
.... A loving soul I'll never forget.
It will take time to heal~
For the silence to go away.
I still listen for you,
And miss you everyday.
You were such a great companion,
Constant, Loyal and True.
My heart will always wear,
The paw prints left by you.
