Anson served in the Civil War from Michigan. He is bd. under A. M. Vicary findagrave #3682263. He was the son of Lorenzo (1806-1886) & Mehitabel Hodges Vicory (1808-1876). He married Emeline Trim Apr. 7,1866 in Branch Co.,MI. They moved to Texas c.1877/8 and after losing two cildren started back to MI settling in Joplin,MO. When his health went bad, he went to the Soldier's Home in Ft. Leavenworth,KS. He had a dark complexion, with brown eyes so dark they were almost black. His nickname was "Blackjack" and he raised fighting roosters.
