June E. Kreis, age 82, a resident of Oliver Springs, went home to be with the Lord and her loved ones, surrounded by her loving family, Monday, March 12, 2007, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.

Mrs. Kreis was born Feb. 14, 1925 in Hagan, Va. She and her late husband, William E. Kreis, moved to Oliver Springs in 1942.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Her hobbies included loving her grandchildren and great-grand children, cooking, gardening and listening to gospel music.

Before her retirement she was employed as a sales clerk for 25 years at Proffitt's. She was also a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Kreis; parents, Thomas and Josephine Lee Ely; sisters, Myrtle Henderson, Tina Norwood, Betty Walsh, and Dorothy House; and three brothers, Rufus, Gene, and Glen Ely.

Survivors include her sons, William E. Kreis Jr. and wife, Brenda, of Knoxville, Ronnie Kreis and wife, Connie, of Oliver Springs, and Gary Kreis of Oliver Springs; grandchildren, Lisa Loos and husband, Jeff, of Johnson City, Lori Dunfee of Norcross, Ga., Andrew Kreis and wife, Pat, of Clinton, Matthew Kreis of Las Angeles, Calif., Mark Kreis of Knoxville; great grand children, Cameron, Brandon, Ryan, Allie, Annaclaire, and Brady Daniel Loos; brothers, the Rev. Milford Ely of Chattanooga, and Tommy Ely and wife, Pat, of Loveland, Colo.; a sister, Gladys Fitzgerald of Richmond, Va.; and special friends, Dot Griffith, Marcella Finch, Peggy Jones, and Bobbie and Calvin Davis.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 13, 2007, between the hours of 6 and 8 p.m. at Sharp Funeral Home.

Graveside services and burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2007, with the Rev. Will Gouge and Brian Stivers officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church Media Ministry, 130 Providence Road, Oak Ridge, TN 37830; the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Printing Ministry, 115 Hen Valley Road, Oliver Springs, TN 37840; or the Coalfield Jackets Foundation, in care of Coalfield High School.
