Evelyn G. Aldredge
Mrs. Evelyn G. Aldredge, 86, of Douglasville, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2008, at Douglas Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Aldredge was born on Oct. 21, 1922, in Spalding County to the late Joe Royals and the late Sadie Pendley Huckaby. She is preceded in death by husband, Jesse Miller Aldredge Jr. Mrs. Aldredge was a member of Abundant Life Faith Church.
Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Pam Aldredge of Griffin, Penny and the Rev. Mike Merritt of Newnan, and Patty and Jeff Whitehead of Douglasville; grandchildren, Chad Merritt, Bethany Merritt, Shannon Whitehead, and Chris Whitehead; brother, Joseph Royals of Griffin; sister, Ruby Nell Browning of Canton; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn G. Aldredge will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008, in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Pastor Tommy Powell will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit the family from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
