Uncle Gerald was another relative who smiled alot and liked to laugh. But he did have the Melton temper. He served in the Army during WWII. Dad said he was so muscular he could have been a Mr. America. He worked for many years in different laundries. He married May 15,1948 Elizabeth Lucille "Betty" Hilton. They had 4 children: William Joseph, Carolyn Ann, Pamela Sue and Lisa Michelle. Lisa was a late in life baby and was only 7 years old when her Mom died with cancer. Gerald never remarried and raised Lisa by himself.
