Simon T. "Thomp" Spragg, 82, died at 2:30 PM Monday, Dec. 26, 1949, at his home, Waynesburg, RD 6, after a lingering illness.

Mr. Spragg was born April 10, 1867, at Spraggs. He was a son of Henry and Eliza Kent Spragg. All his life was spent in Greene County. He was a well known farmer and stock raiser and a former employe of the Carnegie Gas Co.

His first wife, Sudi Brant Spragg, died 49 years ago, and his second wife, Elizabeth D. Emery Spragg, survives.

Also surviving are two sons by his first marriage, Lawrence Spragg, of Detroit, and Bayard Spragg, of Washington, and a son by his second marriage, E. Willis Spragg, of Detroit; one sister, Mrs. Norval P. (Harriett) Rogers, of Jefferson, and two brothers, McClelland C. Spragg, of Daybrook, W. Va., and Larry Spragg, of Jefferson.
