D. F. ANDERSON DIED AT HIS HOME YESTERDAY
D. F. Anderson, 73, died at his home, 1524 North 9th Street, Neodesha, Wednesday morning, June 23, 1954, at 10:05 o'clock. He had been ill for 28 months. His death was caused by a stroke.
Delva Freeman Anderson was born January 18, 1881, at Hudson, Illinois. He came to Kansas in 1892 and has lived in or around Neodesha since that time. On November 30, 1904, he was married to Miss Minnie May Redington at Independence. He was a farmer and teamster throughout his life, and was a member of the A.T.A. Local No. 137.
His wife Mrs. Minnie Anderson survives his death as do four daughters; Mrs. Marguerite Tolliver of Kansas City, Missouri; Mrs. Remo Bryson, Thayer; Mrs. Dorothy Cook and Mrs. Emma Joan Hubbard of Neodesha; five sons, Charles Anderson of Hawthorne, California; Kenneth Anderson of Manhattan; J. W. Anderson, U.S. Navy, W. D. Anderson and Lonnie Anderson of Neodesha; one sister, Mrs. Bertha Seller of Elk City; four brothers, James Anderson of Neodesha; John Anderson of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Ira Anderson of Los Angeles, California and Elmer Anderson of Wichita; fourteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. His parents John W. and Clarissa Misner Anderson are deceased.
The body will lie in state at the Moran Fawcett Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 at the funeral home.
