Esther DeTurk Bertolet remained a widow for thirty-two years, and died in 1798, aged 88 years. She was an estimable Christian woman, and a daughter of a certain widow named Wammerin [sic widow of Peter Wemar/Vemar/Weimar], who emigrated in 1713 [sic 1708 with her daughter Catharina, aged 2, on the Globe with Rev. Kocherthal from the Palatinate] from England under a passport from Queen Anne. On April 30, 1767, a year after the death of her husband [Abraham Bertolet], she conveyed her property to her eldest son, Daniel Bertolet, for eleven hundred pounds English money.
