Death Comes After Illness of a Week
Mrs. Mary Casey Hanover Passes Away at Shellsburg
Shellsburg Jan 27-Special; Mrs Mary Casey Hanover was born in Virginia Sept 20, 1845, and passed away in Shellsburg Jan. 24, following a week's serious illness with heart trouble. Mrs. Hanover came here when a young married woman, the husband. Henry Hanover, passed away three years ago. They were the parents of twelve children. James, Marry and Mrs. Cora Stark are deceased, Mrs. Hanovedr was a member of the United Brethren church.
The children who survive are; George of Vinton, Frank of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Stella Hoagland, Center Point; Mrs Maude Kopenhaver, Mechianicsville; Mrs. Nellie Lint and Mrs. Anna Line, Shellsburg; Mrs Mary Ashlock and Mrs. Nora Rambo, Shellsburg, and Ray who resided at home. There are seventeen grandchildren. A brother , John Casey, resides in Cherokee. The sisters are Mrs. Lizzie Moody, Des Moines, Mrs. Tillie Green of Missouri. Funeral services will be held Friday at the home, conducted by the Rev, Byden of Hudson. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
