Shellsburg's Oldest Citizen Passes Away
Shellsburg, Jan 8-Henry Hanover, Shellsburg's oldest citizen, passed away at his home Monday, following a stroke of apoplexy. He was born in New York and was 82 years old at the time of his death. For many years his conducted a small grocery store. He is survived by his wife and the following children; Mrs Ed Hoagland, Center Point; Mrs Earl Copenhaver; Monticello Mrs Fred Ashlock, Palo; Mrs Roy Rambo, Mrs. William Stark, Mrs Jack Lint, Mrs Emmit Lint all of Shellsburg and Harry of Waterloo, Frank of Cedar Rapids and George of Vinton.
Funeral services will be held at the Baptist church Wednesday afternoon conducted by Rev. Bryden, Interment will be in Oakwood cemetery.
