Need to verify but believe his parents were J. C. Armstrong born about 1817 Tennessee and his mother, Francis (_____) Armstrong born about 1827 in Kentucky.

He married Mary Eliza Goodwin 4 March 1881 Baxter Springs, Cherokee County, Kansas and they lived to celebrate their 60th anniversary.

In February 1901 they moved to Lincoln County, WA. Here they had a farm near Harrington. They moved into town in 1931.

He was a member of the Harrington Baptist Church.

He died at the home of his daughter, Florence Defabaugh, in Spokane, WA.
