"Longtime resident of Dragoon, Irvin Fannin, died peacefully in his sleep on July 8, 2012. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Dorothy, in May of 2009.
Irvin was born in Haverton, Ky. on Oct. 7, 1932. He and Dorothy were married in May of 1954. They moved to Dragoon in 1962. Irvin went to work for the Southern Pacific Railroad soon after until retirement in 1985. As a Tractor Operator, his work took him all over the state of Arizona, with Dorothy always by his side. They loved Arizona and were very proud to show it off to family and friends who came to visit.
A private burial was held on July 17, 2012 at the Russellville cemetery, where Irvin was laid to rest alongside of the love of his life, Dorothy. 'Together Forever.'" ~ Obit provided by: Candace Young-Mayo
