She was Born Dec. 17, 1947 in Monroe, Ky., the daughter of Floyd and Roxie (Blythe) Emberton. A member of the. Church of Christ, Olene was a Tipton High School senior.
Surviving with the parents are three brothers, Floyd W., David Allen and Bobby Gene, all at home; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Emberton, Lexington, Ill., and the maternal grandmother, Mrs. Fannie Blythe of Tompkinsville, Kentucky.
It has never been determined by any legal authority (i.e. the Tipton County IN coroner etc.) that Miss Emberton was murdered. Her body was found on an isolated county road northeast of Hobbs. The person or persons responsible for placing her there were never apprehended.
