Theodore L. Beaty, 68, of 1806 Myrtle Street, Alton, died at 11:05 p.m. Wednesday at Blue Fountain Manor Nursing Home where he had been since December of 1971.
He was employed as a baker for Siebolds Baker in Granite City until retiring 11 years ago because of failing health.
He was married in June of 1931, to the former Lucille Alexander. Besides his widow, surviving are a son, Robert of Godfrey; a daughter, Mrs. Christ (Pat) Fischer of Godfrey; eight grandchildren; a brother, Luther, of Alton and a sister, Mrs. Er Wilkinson of Alton.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday at Gent Funeral Home, where the funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. W.O. Reinhardt, pastor of the Grace United Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memorial Park, Godfrey.
