Death record revealed John Branburger was born on April 4, 1826 in Germany and
married Caroline Stimmetz. John was a mason and died at age seventy-nine on June
1, 1905 in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. His father was Simon
Branburger. Burial was in Manitowoc County, Wisconsin.

John lived to age 79.

Death Fri. in Milwaukee of 79-yr. old John B. Brauburger, a well-known resident of our city, in the residence of his son there.

The deceased, who came to America from Germany in 1847, had lived here for many years, but spent last year in the Milwaukee area.

In addition to his brother, the well-known shipbuilder Henry B. Burger, Sr., he is survived by 3 sons — Geo. B. Burger and Henry Burger, Jr., here, and Christ. Burger in Milwaukee, as well as 4 daughters —Mrs. Jacobson and Mrs. H. Hartmann here, and Mrs. Moose and Mrs. Kochwert in New York. A sister, Mrs. Wolfe of Seattle, Washington, was here on a visit. His wife preceded him in death 15 yrs. ago.

The casket was brought here and laid to rest in the city cemetery on Mon. afternoon.
