Eldest daughter of David and Anna (Whitmore) Strickler. Three older brothers. Strickler family from Fayette and Westmoreland Counties, Pennsylvania. To Illinois by 1837. Elizabeth Strickler and Jacob Thomas married 1848 in Adams County Illinois. Three Thomas brothers married three Strickler sisters.
Adopted Daughter Laura born c1872 in Illinois. Laura married William Wright of Canton MO in Edina MO 1897. Was at Jacob Thomas' bedside in first week of September 1906 according to newspaper report. Moved to California.
