Alexander was an excellent rifle marksman. He shot and killed two bears at his son's home. He resided in Centre Township, Columbia County, PA. His heirs were: sons; Jacob, George W., Cyrus, Clemuel, Samuel and Franklin and daughters; Martha, the wife of Isaac Siegfried, Dorcas and eight children of deceased daughter Margaret, the wife of Jacob B. Cline of Lycoming County, PA. Alexander Creveling married Rebecca Marr who was born in Upper Mount Bethel, PA. She was the daughter of Lawrence and Elizabeth Marr. Lawrence Marr was a Loyalist during the American Revolution. Alexander and Rebecca Marr Creveling had twelve children; Margaret who married John B. Cline, Martha who married Isaac Seigfried, Jacob, Hiram, George Washington, a son who died at a young age, Cyrus, Dorcas who was a spinster and resided on the family homestead with her brother Samuel C., Belinda who died just shy of three months old, Clemuel E., Samuel C., and Franklin. After the death of his first wife Rebecca, Alexander Creveling married Mrs. Hannah Mellich in April of 1834. She was the mother of William Mellich from her first marriage. Alexander and Hannah Creveling had seven children; a daughter Patty and six others. Alexander Creveling had nineteen children.
