Donald B. Smith, age 80, of Myton, died October 31, 2004 at the Uintah Basin Medical Center.
He was born February 21, 1924 in Bluebell to Mervin and Tessie Faye Paxman Smith.
He married Ida Reese, they later divorced. He married Helen Bird, she later died. He married Elva Mott Long March 5, 1982 in Ogden.
Donald was a heavy equipment operator on road and construction projects. He enjoyed hunting, fishing camping, and cooking. He was famous for his sour dough waffles. He and Elva like to travel and he was a great story teller.
He is survived by his wife, Elva, of Myton; children, Carlo (Boyd) Braithwaite, Myton; Donald A. (Vicki) Smith, Vernal; Becky (Ron) Hall, Moore OK; Rae (Kelly) Stone, West Valley; Harvey (Beth) Long, Garland, UT; Marion (Margie) Long, Ogden; Danny (Heidi) Long, LaPoint; Wesley (Connie) Long, Ogden; David (Shauna) Long, Purcell, OK; Wayne (Tami) Long, Taylorsville; Debra (David) Clark, Myton; Becky (Ellis) Muir, Duchesne; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
He is also survived by a sister, Jean Hadden, Myton. He was preceded in death by a stepson, Michael Glen Long and a sister, Betty Willson.
Graveside services held Friday, November 5th, at 2:0PM at the Myton Cemetery under direction of the Hullinger Mortuary.
